  Italo Trattoria is located upstairs from Funkadeli on Fumin Lu. It's upscale and could be a great place for a date or an intimate gathering, but casual enough that you don't necessarily have to be dressed to the nines. Most of the staff the night I came in were foreigners, and the customer service was top notch - people checked in on the food, always made sure our water glasses were full, and made recommendations on drinks and dishes based on our tastes. While the classics are present, there are also a lot of "deep cuts" on the menu, to borrow the musical phrase, giving you many more options to exploring Italian cuisine. If the manager is free, just about every cocktail on the menu comes with a story as well. I highly look forward to returning again and again.
