Named for the Chinese word for "sparkle," XUAN is the neighborhood's party venue and has a real sense of life and vibrancy. Designed by Tofu Inc., new materials such as glass and acrylic contrast themselves against old reclaimed materials like finished timber. A mezzanine floor offers a relaxed, barrier-free seating environment.
The first Andaz bar to open in China, our fashion bar XUAN is located in the heart of Xintiandi, right at the crossroads of South Huangpi Road and Taicang Road. This two storey bar is easy to access from street level and connected to Hai Pai Restaurant, the hotel’s most popular dining venue. Multiple seating options are available in this cosy place including comfortable sofa seating for small gatherings, a semi-private room and outdoor terrace in warmer months. The mood of XUAN changes throughout the day--all-day snacks and light refreshments, afternoon tea under an abundance of natural day light and Shanghai's longest happy hour, a daily event that stretches from 5-9pm daily.
Enjoy eclectic music with a team of uptempo local DJs and hand-crafted cocktails such as the Anise-thetizer (raw sugar and grapefruit with house-made licorice bitters and fine bourbon), and boutique whiskies. Live band performances are also avaiable every week from Wednesday to Friday.
In addition to sipping classical cocktails, a selection of modern Chinese snacks and tasty Continental delicacies with local ingredients specially crafted by our Executive Chef Jacqueline Qiu are also offered.

Food is great, I was at the Xuan Bar for a quick lunch. Service wise it was average, but really nothing to complain. The music was also pretty chilled. Overall a great experience.
