Chateau Dionne, a new and much bigger French restaurant that arises after the huge success of its first store , Dionne wines at Xujiahui, was officially open in January 2017. With French chef Richard Mangel bringing with him years of chef experiences from Paris and Cannes, the menu offers traditional French dishes and also dishes that reflect the location heritage of Jianyeli, a 1930 heritage Shikumen. Therefore, you can also find spring roll but with foir gras inside, beside the all time popular signature traditional French egg Florentine and Beef Rossini. As the theme of the place is “where wine and music comes alive” There are 3 private rooms that offer you a chance to walk back to the era of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s where your eyes be taken aback by all the actual birthday of these world significant stars that was born then. There is also all the original MTV of those years to bring you back to yesterday once more too. If the weather is good, there are 7 beautiful balconies for you to enjoy the surrounding of the French concession. The first outlet huge success has been its theme of everyone knows you by name and so the personalize service emphasis has always been the spirit of the service team.     Very good restaurant, food is well prepared and quantities are fine. Artichoke and mushroom soup with truffle was great as well as other courses we had. Wine list is large and well organized, we had a Chateau eux du pape 2015. The « chef de salle » sorry can t remember his name was very kiNd maybe little nervous. Other waiters were ok but still need to improve some behavior and style but overall ok. We recommend this place. One one « negative » comment, decoration !!! Time to refursbish guys, paintings colors, objects etc... get something aligned with the restaurant style . You might think I am too hard but we really recommend for the food!! Good place to be.
