About Taian Table
Founded in Shanghai in 2016, Taian Table is an intimate dining venue by Stefan Stiller, serving a multi-course tasting menu. A German native, Chef Stiller has led several Michelin-starred restaurants in Germany, before moving to Shanghai in 2004. Over the last 15 years, Chef Stiller founded and helmed multiple dining concepts in Shanghai, the most recent being
Taian Table.
The focal point of Taian Table is the open kitchen, around which guests are seated like spec- tators at an arena. Each dish is prepared in front of the guests, and introduced personally by chefs and staff, creating an interactive dining experience.
The menu at Taian Table is highly seasonal, changing every two months. Each menu is tai- lored to the best ingredients available in Shanghai at the time. The style of cooking is refined, modern, and predominantly Western, but many dishes bear a distinctive Asian touch. The restaurant received a Michelin star in September 2016, just a few months after its opening. Since September 2019 Taian Table got awarded the second Michelin Star.

    通过微信预定了位子,能看到菜单,线上付好押金500元/位,当天有人员跟我电话确认。
    用餐体验总结来说是:菜式有趣、太重口味(身体负担也重)、一道一道下来足够饱。
    印象比较深的:
    烤鳗鱼鸭肝薄片,第一次那么直接地吃一大口鸭肝(鹅肝我就更不敢吃了),对于极少食用内脏的我感受到了满满的冲击力。客观来说鸭肝是很细腻的。鳗鱼不是很出彩,火候也算正好,但是不及日式烤鳗鱼的香。
    小牛胸腺牛肉汁炖蛋,层次丰富,所谓的牛肉胸腺第一次吃,意外地肥润感。每吃一口就觉得自己胖了一两。
    扒味噌茄子,超复杂的口味,好像什么都有,有什么都带上了酱汁味。没吃一口,心里就冒出一个“为什么”。
    “黑布丁”,温泉蛋、血肠、青豆泥,又是重口味,未免也太heavy 了吧。自己阅历太浅,还不能适应。
    这道菜吃了两口,要配半杯水,再押两口酒,才能缓过来。
    后面的甜点,很有东方的韵味,尤其喜欢那款有伯爵茶冰激凌、乌龙茶冻、抹茶年糕的甜点。
    我觉得来这里只要是体会不同食材的搭配,从口味来讲不是我适应的,偶尔来图个新鲜。
    服务很周到、礼数周全。一开始请侍酒师推荐一款白葡萄酒,发现描述得比较准确,试酒时确实如他所说是花香果香都有,比较清淡的。
    吧台形式的用餐,跟JR差不多,椅子比JR舒服一点。
