Our Townsquare is a welcoming social space that combines living spaces, a bistro, a café and a bar. It is a hub of activity where you can dine, work, socialise or just relax. Artyzen Habitat Shanghai warmly welcomes Chef Alessandro Martinelli to take up his new post, join the hotel as the executive chef of the hotel.
Born and raised in Alta Valtellina, a beautiful valley in northern Italy, Chef Alessandro inherited his family's enthusiasm for food and ingredients and developed a passion for cooking at an early age. After years' hard training, Chef Alessandro lived up to his family's expectation to become an excellent Chef. His cooking philosophy is to always use fresh and natural ingredients. In order to present the genuine features of ingredients, he is always ready to try contemporary and creative cooking methods. Starting at "Grissini" in London, Chef Alessandro has 15 years of culinary experience. He then joined "Il Gusto" one of the most famous Italian restaurants in Madrid, Spain, where he developed and improved his own cooking style.
In December 2007, Chef Alessandro joined Hyatt International as chef de cuisine at The Grill, Park Hyatt Azerbaijan. In 2011 to 2013 Chef Alessandro worked for Grand Hyatt Hotel in Guangzhou - one of the largest oriental gastronomy capitals, where he further polished his cooking techniques and tried to understand Chinese food culture.
Late 2013 witnessed the commencement of Hyatt Regency Phuket in Thailand, where Chef Alessandro served tourists from all over the world and absorbed South Asian food knowledge, culture and local taste. In Thailand, Chef Alessandro mixed traditional cuisine with local flavours. His innovation made a big hit in this world-famous tourist destination.
Chef Alessandro joined Artyzen Habitat Beijing as soon as it started business since he was eager to apply what he had learned in the past few years, and it turned out to be a great success creating. At Artyzen Townsquare which is popular with residents for its oven fresh signature breads, used in gourmet sandwiches, healthy salads, signature pastas, freshly baked pizzas, pies and pastries sold directly from the display counter.
Now Artyzen Habitat Shanghai is running its trial operation, Chef Alessandro will bring unique taste, natural ingredients and creative cooking method to our "Bistro" and Townsquare restaurants. He wishes to cooperate
