  Intrigued by the offering of East Indian food (most restaurants are North and/or South,) my wife and I were excited to try what Aapon had on offer. My wife and I arrived on a Friday night about 25 minutes before our reservation, but the host was happy to seat us early. We were given a table on the third floor overlooking the CBD outside. We went with the eight course chef's menu with a cocktail pairing and are happy to report that each and every course was unfamiliar to us (and delicious!) Our server Suraj was very friendly and helpful when describing the dishes, and even grabbed the bartender to walk us through the cocktails we were enjoying (he prided himself on taking classic cocktails and serving them with a twist.) Additionally, Suraj gave us the option of spacing out the dishes however we wanted. I suppose my only negative for evening is that we were actually given too much food - the chef's menu comes with two entrees per person, which would be fine (considering fine dining portions) except that instead of putting your two selections on a single plate with a portion of rice, you get two plates, each containing a sizeable portion of rice; it was too much. We had to take a lengthy pause before dessert (a delicious homemade rose ice cream.) In any case, Aapon is a must if you love Indian food.
