  We had hopes for this dining experience but were let down. The menu for Restaurant Week was limited, as expected, and included selections that disappointed. While the food was, for the most part, delicious the value for what we paid was not even close to acceptable. The closest thing to meat was the meatloaf and while tasty, the largest portion on the plate was carrots.

  Unfortunately the service didn't live up to expectations either. Once seated we waited almost five minutes before I got up and went to find a waiter to take our drink order. Our table had not been set prior to seating and it seemed as though the wait staff was busier chatting with each other than paying attention to the customers. We are by no means high maintenance customers but when we have to continuously search or flag down waiters it becomes annoying.

  The atmosphere and decor of Downstairs was welcoming and peaceful, although the huge red wine stain on our booth was a bit disgusting.

  Overall this was a disappointing and over priced evening. While the food that we ate was good, everything else from the price to the service was a let down.
